Hi, my name is Edwin and I am 20 years old.
Since about 2 years i have a heart problem. I don't know how to say it correct in English, but sometimes i have a unstable "heart rythm". I went to the docter and hospital, but they couldn't find anything. So i went looking myself - mostly on the internet - and i found LQTS, which is the most resembling with my conditions. This is what i have experienced so far:

- An unstable heart rythm. For example it skips once and then it beats twice very quick.
- Somtimes my heart pumps real fast, just out of nowhere it beats about 220 times per min. This happens real often, and i think it only happend in summer times. When it occurs, i have trouble breathing normally and i have to sit down. Then when i keep calm it slowly drops back to normal in a few minutes. These are very scary moments becouse you feel like you are going to dy.
- What i read from other people is that they have the problems a lot when they are in bed, i do to. The strange thing is, and this was only in the beginning, is that when i was lying in bed and i turned to my right side my heart acted strange. I have never read something about other people having this problem, and i can't explain it.
I must say, this was only at the beginning, and stopped after some time.
- I also noticed that it is triggered by swimming, especially in cold water. When i go the beach i need to go slowly into the water. This seems to be common.
- I had like a small cardiac arrest. I was lying on the sofa watching a movie, when i felt my heart "knocking" in my chest and then it stopped. I dont know for howlong but it felt like several seconds. Then when i felt the blood coming down from my head, it started again and everything was back to normal. This only happended once.

Does anyone of you recognize these symptons?
I have never fainted or past out.
The docter made an ECG and i walked with an device which keeps track of my heart beat for to days but the docter at the hospiyal said that te results were ok and send me home. Maybe i will request a copy of mu ECG and send it to the docters from this site for a second opinion.
I hope someone can help me or tell me something.
Edwin, Holland.

It seems like extrasystoles. Normally they are benign. The best advice is to discuss it with your doctor
