i seen a new ep in april and he asked me why i was still taking potassium/mag-oxide since i have an icd. no other comments since he is waiting on other medical results. why am i still on them and do i need them?? |

There is no hardcore evidence on the value of potassium or magnesium supplement. We use potassium supplement with LQT2 (HERG) patients only. The value has not been proven, but from a theoretical viewpoint it may work. Since the adverse reaction profile and the price are acceptable, it is prescribed. |

I have prolonged qt and my potassium and magnesium are always very low. it seems that every time I've had an episode my potassium is like 1.5 |
