There is no hardcore evidence on the value of potassium or magnesium supplement. We use potassium supplement with LQT2 (HERG) patients only. The value has not been proven, but from a theoretical viewpoint it may work. Since the adverse reaction profile and the price are acceptable, it is prescribed.

I have prolonged qt and my potassium and magnesium are always very low. it seems that every time I've had an episode my potassium is like 1.5
