I live in New Zealand and my adopted son (who is my great newphew) has been diagnosed with probable LQTS. His mother has it and has an implant and her younger sister died at age 12 which was when it was first diagnosed whilst she was on life support. My little boy who is now 5 has had one 48 hour holter monitor test which showed nothing. Could he still have LQTS and should I push for more tests. Sadly genetic testing on his biological mother has failed to find the gene.

It depends how the possible diagnosis was made. He could have LQTS, and he couldnt have it. My advice is to contact a local LQTS expert and get her/his advice. I am only aware of one, Jon Skinner which I believe is located in Auckland.
