Hi Zoe,

You are very welcome. Yes I am doing well (knock on wood:-)).
I hope Dr Priori can shed some light on your complex case.
One of my children was diagnosed as "borderline" and is on betablockers to prevent arrhythmias, although she never has had any episodes of any kind (another knock on wood). Are you on any kind of heart medicine?

This site has been very quiet. May be you could try the new SADS foundation website. They have a forum too now. It is under "patients and family, discussion board" at www.sads.org

Make sure you see an electrophysiologist for your second opinion.

Take care and let us know what you find out. It might help others in the same case.
Kind regards and best wishes.

Thank-you Bionic Roadrunner

You always find the time to reply to my threads!

I fully intend to get a second opinion. I did try to get one last Autumn, but no-one would refer me and the Dr I wanted to see wouldnt take me on as a private patient given the complexity of the case (guess the complexity=expensive that I cant afford!!)

However, 9 months on, my own Gp is coming to his senses and seems more willing. I need to see him this week and take with me a summary of the conditions and the treatment to date.

I have emailed Prof Priori though in case she has anything to add.

Thank-you ever so much, and I hope you are enjoying a spell of good health!

Kind Regards
Zoe

May be you should get a second opinion. You can send your ECG to Professor Priori.
This information was taken from this website by the way.
Good luck to you.

Hello friends

I am wondering if its normal for the QT interval to be lengthened following a run of Tachycardia?

I had a 30 min episode of suspected SVT (my ecg looks like VT/wide complex tachy due to RBBB) on Monday evening, my rate was around 200bpm, and for the following 12 hours my qt was around 490.

Upon discharge it has settled to 468.

I am usually presenting a borderline QT interval and the team I am currently under keep telling I DO NOT HAVE long QT syndrome, though they cant proove it to me!

Kind Regards
Zoe
